February 13 Weigh in to nightMichael,
It's been 3 years in January since I broke my back. Not 2 years.
Tonight is weigh in night!!!!!!! The year's hottest artists on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards. AOL Music takes you there. January 30 I am back from my trip:From Michael: Well I am back and my plan for my trip went great I lost 10 Lbs since we started January 1. I was at a Real Estate Seminar and sat in a chair for 8 hrs a day and ate Oat meal for breakfast Chicken Sandwich for lunch and an apple Dinner was another Chicken Sandwich and a large salad I am so excited I pasted up all the great restaurants and did what I need to do. On Monday it was 2 years since I broke my back. So My son and I are doing great. Bye for now. January 21 Changing my lifestyleFrom Tim: All my life I have struggled with my weight. I know how to lose the weight but I have continually been unsuccessful keeping it off. The biggest reason I believe is my life style.... Id rather come home after work and sit on the couch than do anything else... Weekends, I just love to sit around and hang out... I finally realize that these habits are huge part of my problem... So what am I going to do about it.... Well I decided to take up some new activities... I have a group of friends that have been trying to get me to go quad riding with them forever.... I have made every excuse in the book not to go but a few weeks ago I decided to make a change and give it a try... I huffed and puffed quite a bit but I loved it... so much so I went and bought one of these 4 wheeled off road motorcycles. Today was the first time I went on my own bike and it was so much fun... I'm exhausted and sore but I feel so alive... Its this and other kinds of changes to my lifestyle that I believe will be the end of my fight with my weight once I lose it. If your reading this and have the same problems try to get some active hobbies that stray from your comfort zone. I'm sure you will start to see the new you also...... Bye for now January 20 Busy SundayFrom Tim, Today I was very busy getting all my tax data together.... I hardly relized that I did not get lunch.... Shame on me... I know im trying to cut back but I need the fuel... My brother called and invited me to dinner, I told him we have to go somewhere healthy and we went to a restaurant called Woodranch.... It seems everyone has some kind of chicken... I had the chicken breasts with broccoli and corn on the cob... it was delicious... I think the only mistake I made was not asking them to leave the barbeque sauce off the chicken... It was great though and I still feel like I stayed on my diet... January 19 Last update for the dayFrom Tim : Well here is my last post of the day.... So on day 19 im feeling pretty good.. I've trimmed 14+ pounds so far and I think things are off to a good start.. Its funny Those last few pounds I put on really started to change my life. All of a sudden I could do things I used to do... Even tying my shoes had become a chore.... But everyday the little things keep getting easier.... I cant wait to see what comes next..... Working at homeFrom Tim: So todays been challenging... Im home all alone working on taxes because my tax appointment is next weekend.. and I find myself getting up regularly and going to the fridge... Good think I only have healthy stuf in there, one look and I tell myself "Self its not time to eat yet get back to work" So I thought id write something instead of going back to the fridge... So far today, ive had egg beaters and cut up fruit for breakfast and a piece of salmon for lunch.. I also had some carrots and 1 100 calorie pack for a snack.... Got to get back to taxes... January 18 Today and getting ready for our tripJanuary 18
From Michael: So I had oatmeal for breakfast, Lunch I had a grilled chicken sandwich with musters from Mc Donald's And for dinner I had one chicken breast and a salad, I am just going to eat an apple, We are leaving on Sunday for 4 days a Real Estate seminar, I told Patricia we need to cook up several chicken breast, take some 7 grain bread and mustered to have lunch in the room to make it easer for me to stay on what I am doing. Not sure what to do yet for breakfast. I get to work on the other meals when we go out.My Blood sugar today was 77 which is great! Remember I am a diabetic.and anything under 110 is great.The power we have to influence othersFrom Tim: So I had something very interesting happen today.... All my friends at work are supportive of me to lose weight. I work in the IT department at AAA. Today we were at our disaster recovery center all day doing some disaster testing and they were bringing lunch in. The project manager knows what I am trying to do and under normal circumstances, she would have just ordered pizza for the 20 people that were there. So before she ordered pizza she asked me if I wanted something different and I told her a chicken sandwich from subway would be great... Another person heard me and said hey id like that too. I am trying to lose weight and do not want pizza...Two more people said hey we want to support them so we will have subway too.... Before long, all 20 people agreed that they should get behind me and the other person and have low cal subway sandwiches for lunch instead of the regular hi cal pizza.... Its just amazing if you talk about what your going through others will pitch in and help and who knows... maybe someone who needed a little push to get started today got it!!!! January 17 TodayWell another day almost gone... the diet thing is getting easier I think... I really need to stay busy though. When I sit around to much I find myself looking in the fridge and cupboards..... January 16 Where to eatI have found a few good places to eat. Subway, El Pollo Loco and Carls Jr.... only the Barbarque Chicken Sandwich there.... Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Yahoo! Search. Tonights weigh inWell tonight was our first real weigh in although we have been at it for 2 weeks already.. I know my Dad's back is hurting him but I believe if he can take the weight off he will feel better. As for me, I told him if I dont do this Im going to die so he better get it in gear and be an insperation for me..... My Dad is going out of town for a few days and that scares me because I dont think he has the will power to say no... This week was a great week for me... My weight loss is progressing nicely... I hope I dont plato right away... January 06 My First BlogMy Dad and I will be starting our Biggest Loser Milliion Pound Matchup this week !!! |
