    Changing my lifestyle

    From Tim: All my life I have struggled with my weight.  I know how to lose the weight but I have continually been unsuccessful keeping it off.  The biggest reason I believe is my life style....  Id rather come home after work and sit on the couch than do anything else...  Weekends, I just love to sit around and hang out...   I finally realize that these habits are huge part of my problem...  So what am I going to do about it....  Well I decided to take up some new activities...  I have a group of friends that have been trying to get me to go quad riding with them forever.... I have made every excuse in the book not to go but a few weeks ago I decided to make a change and give it a try...  I huffed and puffed quite a bit but I loved it... so much so I went and bought one of these 4 wheeled off road motorcycles.  Today was the first time I went on my own bike and it was so much fun... I'm exhausted and sore but I feel so alive...  Its this and other kinds of changes to my lifestyle that I believe will be the end of my fight with my weight once I lose it.  

    If your reading this and have the same problems try to get some active hobbies that stray from your comfort zone.  I'm sure you will start to see the new you also......

    Variety is a good thing!  I can definitely identify with wanting to sit around and relax... but like you I am trying and currently succeeding, at being active everyday!  Thanks for sharing... I like knowing the struggles are not just in my head, LOL   Keep up the good work!

    I know what you mean when you say that it feels good to feel alive. It is like you have a taste of what it use to feel like. It makes you want more of it and more determined. Hang in there. Wish I was with you on the off road bike. Sounds like so much fun.... :)
